Much of Salem’s historic commercial buildings still exist with a few lost, mainly due to fires and a fair amount of urban renewal projects. Being a multi-generational Oregonian, driving past the state capital always gives me a subtle stir of emotion to see all the great things we are accomplishing as a whole and what direction we as a state are going.
